Hi, I’m Karen (she/her), a Registered Massage Therapist with a focus on helping people find relief from chronic pain while improving their overall quality of life. I work with patients experiencing neuromuscular and myofascial pain, using a patient-centered approach that looks at the body as an integrated system. My goal is to help restore balance within the nervous system and support the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

I have extensive post-graduate training in Osteopathic Pain Therapy and a variety of complementary therapeutic techniques, including Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), CranioSacral Therapy, Somatic Education, Neuromuscular Facilitation, Myofascial Release, and TMJ dysfunction care. Through continued education and hands-on treatment, I aim to address the root causes of pain rather than simply masking symptoms.

My philosophy is that many people come to accept headaches, fatigue, chronic pain, discomfort, or poor sleep as their “normal”. Often, recognizing that these conditions don’t have to be part of everyday life is the first step toward meaningful change. By working together, we can help release the effects that stress, injury, or trauma may have had on the body and move toward a healthier, more balanced state.

Outside the clinic, I’m an avid athlete and have competed at the world level in equestrian sport, completed the New York Marathon, and participated in multiple Run for the Cure events. I’m also actively involved in community initiatives including the CHEO Research Foundation, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, Angels of Hope, and Maplesoft Survivorship House.

I’m passionate about community service and about creating a supportive environment where patients feel empowered in their health journey. My mission is to provide individualized, patient-focused care that emphasizes education, prevention, and whole-body wellness.

My treatment approach may include: osteopathic pain therapy, Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular facilitation, TMJ therapy, somatic education, and chronic pain management strategies.
